NVC and Sociocracy for Social Change
LIVKOM is a partner with “NVC and Sociocracy for Social Change” whose vision it is to support NVC and Sociocracy becoming well known in Africa as a process towards peace, conflict resolution and awareness of our interdependent nature.
This project is focused on peacebuilding by sharing NVC and Sociocracy and at the same time supporting CNVC certification candidates in gathering the experience in offering training, that is needed to get certified.
Tusome Pamoja Initiative targets traumatized children in conflicted areas who are affected by cattle rustling. Its based on the principles of NVC where everyone needs matters and it’s built up by principles and vision of the foundation of NVC.
The program seeks to address harmful social/ cultural norms and convictions related to Gender roles, acceptance of violence, property inheritance rights (including customary land) for boys and girls, women and men and commercialization of bride price(where women are equated to the value of property/ contribution given as bride price).
RIOFA conducts training on organic farming, sustainable agriculture, and natural resource management, incorporating NVC techniques for effective communication and conflict resolution among farmers. They emphasize the importance of empathy and listening in building strong community relationships.
Our vision at Diani Montessori Academy is to create a compassionate and inclusive learning community where every child is valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential through the Montessori method.

This fundraising has already supported three NVC trainings in April and May 2024 in Kenya and Uganda with a total of 15 days of NVC training delivered by two certification candidates: Joshua Patroba and Stephen Maina Njenga. (Steve). The hosts were:
- Diani Montessori Academy in Mombasa, Kenya.
- TUSOME PAMOJA INITIATIVE in Turkana, Kenya.
- SOCADIDO in Teso Sub-region, Uganda.
